What counts as a good smart garden deal

Beat today’s price, not the "was" price. Several gardens are already marked down on their official stores (the AeroGarden Harvest and Bounty, and the Click & Grow Smart Garden 9 PRO). A Black Friday price only counts as a deal if it’s lower than what we recorded on October 19.
Check the price history. For Amazon listings, a free price tracker such as camelcamelcamel shows whether a "sale" price is really lower than usual.
Count the refills. Pods, seedlings, plant food and memberships are the ongoing cost. A cheaper garden that only takes pricey proprietary pods can cost more over a year. Our seed pod alternatives guide covers the cheaper options.
Compare bundles item by item. A bundle with extra pods or a stand is only a deal if you’d buy those extras anyway.
